Saint Hilda's Church, Audenshaw ~ a brief history

Welcome to my website!

A big "thank you" to our former churchwarden Brian for this rare photograph of one of the first Whit walks after the district of St Hilda's was formed in 1924.
The original church seen here was built in the same year, but was destroyed by fire just 12 years later, in 1936.
The bay-windowed house at the corner of Denton Road and Mayfield Street can still be seen today
