The chancel area before the high altar provides a quiet area for weekday services, private prayer and reflection...
My name is John Kershaw, the vicar of Saint Hilda's, Audenshaw and I have been in this post since 1989. My parishioners know me as Father John.
I was trained at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield and served my title to Priesthood at St Margaret's, Hollinwood under Fr. Alec George (RIP).
As you might expect, the style of worship at Saint Hilda's is Anglo-Catholic and the Church is also designated as an A+B parish and a member of Forward in Faith. Despite the non-smoking ban imposed in July '07, we still use incense regularly in our Family Eucharist on Sunday.
Although the family of the church at Saint Hilda's is small, those who attend on a regular basis are faithful, dedicated and welcoming.
Should you wish to discuss Baptisms, Weddings or any other matter, please feel free to enquire at any of our services.
The vicarage is in the grounds of the Church and should you wish to make an appointment, please ring 0161 336 2310.
I look forward to welcoming you to Saint Hilda's!
For Sunday services our dual-purpose hall is transformed into a modern church setting
